Founder and CEO of The People’s Market, Brandon Starkes, grew up in Prince George’s County, and explains that he “seeks to create more opportunities for Black farmers and other historically underrepresented groups, to grow their business and recirculate dollars back into local communities.”
The People’s Market boasts a “farm to door” experience. Customers can order online and have fresh produce and other products delivered right to their door. You can make a one-time order or recurring deliveries.

When we tried The People’s Market this month, our experience was overwhelmingly positive. We ordered the half box of produce for $50 and the Khasma Tonic for $4.50. Our order was placed on Wednesday and the produce was delivered on Sunday. The produce box included a healthy amount of fresh potatoes, carrots, squash, greens, apples, and peppers. The produce was all fresh and delicious and fed our family for about two weeks.
The process was simple, the prices were affordable, and the food was great! We will definitely continue to shop The People’s Market for our fresh produce and we recommend that you do too!
